DJ Cliff Fernandes

From his early beginnings growing up in the Bronx NY, to traveling around the world and playing for so many various crowds at exotic venues DJ Cliff Fernandes has always remained humble and dedicated to his craft and his motto “Playing the Right Music at the Right Moment.” A motto many DJs refuse to respect.

Growing up in the Bronx in the 70s and 80s and listening to many other great DJs play on the radio Cliff realized at a young age he wanted to do the exact same thing. His love for the music and the joy it brings to others filled his heart with happiness and gave him a passion to want to learn and study the art of DJing. After listening to some of the radio greats at the time he was sure he would follow in their footsteps.

At the young age of 13, Cliff got his first pair of belt-driven Gemini turntables and 2 channel mixer as he couldn’t afford the most prestige and world-recognized Technics 1200s turntables. Painstakingly working on those turntables, he began to master the art of syncing various musical sounds. Always learning and growing with different sounds and beats with the various musical genres.

As time went on, he graduated with a higher level of equipment and more knowledge of his craft. Cliff has now gone on to play at many clubs and bars globally as well as playing in the tristate area including Jersey and Connecticut. He formed “Music for the Moment DJ Entertainment” in 2002 after realizing that many DJs out there who play for clubs and bars cannot differentiate between commercial and private venues and when and where to play the right music.

Thus, he came into his mantra “Playing the Right Music at the Right Moment.” Where a lot of DJs tend to play for themselves, he chose to play for the crowd. To move them and make them happy even though it may not be his musical preference of choice. Cliff has a passion for a broad range of music but especially enjoys playing House, Club, Dance, Disco, Latin Freestyle, Old School Hip Hop, World, and Reggae music.
